A new browser and now even more competition in the browser market. I stumbled upon Raven today “a site-specific web browser that will help you be more productive”. Sounds good! I decided to give Raven a test drive, so, here’s a few things you should know.
Mac OSX Lion: 3 Things That Suck
I finally got around to downloading Mac OSX 10.7 (Lion) last night. First impressions… excellent. I managed to avoid some of the problems that people initially had with the update because I held off for a couple of weeks. So at about 12.30am, Lion finished installing. I waited in anticipation as my Mac restarted and suddenly I was greeted with the biggest eyesore I’ve seen on any operating system (nothings worse than the Windows blue screen though), the first thing that sucked was: (more…)
New Logo for Google Chrome
Google Chrome has a new logo! This may not be news to some people but I only noticed when I checked my dock this morning. First impressions… hmmm I prefer the old logo. But, as with any great design — it grows on you. The more you look at it the more you appreciate the subtle details. The new logo is a simplistic yet sophisticated one which actually makes its predecessor appear years old. Its not exactly a major redesign, the traditional Google colours and Chrome shapes are still intact, its just… better. Take a look at the logos below and see what you think. (more…)
Goodbye IE6, Hello IE9… But Don’t Stay Too Long
It’s been an interesting few weeks for Internet Explorer. Microsoft is now discouraging people from using IE6 and asking them to update their browsers. They’ve even gone so far as to having a page dedicated to eradicating IE6, simply called IE6 Countdown. Hooray! Not only is IE6 dying but the company who created this monstrosity is helping dig its grave. But theres more great news, IE9 has been released! Yes, on the 14th of March 2011 IE9 was released, almost two years to the day on which IE8 was released. So are Microsoft are finally moving with the times? (more…)

Desktops. Laptops. Tablets. Smartphones. There are now numerous ways in which a website can be viewed. With the rapid rise in popularity of smartphones more and more attention must be given to designing a website so that it actually looks like it was designed to be viewed on a smartphone, while at the same time designing a website so that it looks like it was designed to be viewed on a desktop, laptop, etc .
